The Trust is working to find a way to run Satipanya once Bhante and Noirin are no longer able to do so. The best option is to have a resident manager. We would be looking for someone or a couple who were prepared to stay for up to seven years. If at any point during that time they wish to end their commitment, then to give the Trust a year's notice or until a new manager is found. We can not afford to employ them, but we will offer a grant as well as full board and lodgings.
Noirin, who currently manages the centre, plans to retire in 2028. Thanks to the generosity of donors we have been able to purchase a house in Bishops Castle where the new manager can live. At present the house is being used for personal retreats. However the new manager will need at least a year's overlap with Noirin so that the transition can be smooth. Thus we will need to support a manager from some point next year (2026) onwards. We are appealing for funds to cover this additional expense.
